The Washington County EMA has been monitoring the COVID-19 event by polling our Public Safety Agencies and other agencies who have a roll in the County’s Local Emergency Operations Plan. The poll consists of checking on their needs for PPE , the need for the National Guard infection control teams and Mobile Testing Teams, and the status of their Work Force level as it relates to attendance. This data is entered into the WEB-EOC portal of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency in Atlanta where it is monitored by the State. Resource requests are made through this portal by the local EMA to the GEMA SOC. There have been 21 requests made from our EMA to GEMA for this event so far to include PPE, National Guard teams, and medical equipment. Currently there are no outstanding requests as all have been completed or cancelled.
