The Kaolin Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce that is held in beautiful Washington County, Ga. and celebrates the Kaolin Industry. All of the proceeds for this event will go to our charity, The Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA Washington County Club.
The Kaolin Festival is a week long celebration with the Kaolin Festival Century bike ride kicking off the week of activities. We will have four routes: Twin Cities Tour - 18mi, Railroad Tour - 32mi, Kaolin Tour - 62mi, and the Washington Tour - 100 miles. All routes are within the rolling hills of Washington County. We have routes for riders at all levels. The routes are very scenic and will pass thru some of the beautiful Kaolin mining areas as well as the scenic farmland around the county. This will be a ride you will not soon forget. We will have “on the road” SAG support as well as air pumps and other repair tools at each of our 7 rest stops that are being supported by The Boys & Girls Club and our local Fire Departments around the county. Come to Washington County and join in on the Fun. We will see you there!
All of the proceeds from the bike ride benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA Washington County Club. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible, citizens. Locally, Boys & Girls Clubs provide youth with fun, academic based activities in a safe, positive environment.
